These are the BEST Air Fryer Chicken Wings—extra crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and made with no oil at all. They’re perfect for game day, parties, or an easy dinner. Enjoy them plain (“naked”) or toss them in your favorite sauce.
2.5 lbs chicken wings (thawed)
Kosher salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
Garlic powder, to taste
Optional (for extra crispy skin):
½ tsp baking powder
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (205°C).
Pat the chicken wings very dry with paper towels. This is key for crispiness.
Season the wings with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. If using, lightly sprinkle with baking powder and toss to coat evenly.
Arrange wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd.
Air fry for 10–15 minutes, then flip the wings.
Continue cooking for another 10–15 minutes, until wings are golden brown and crispy.
Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately with your favorite sauce.
Dry the wings well: Moisture is the enemy of crispy skin.
Use baking powder (not baking soda): It helps the skin crisp without affecting flavor.
Single layer only: Cook in batches if needed.
Thawed wings only: Frozen wings cook unevenly in the air fryer—defrost overnight in the fridge for best results.
