Air Fryer Chicken Wings

Air Fryer Chicken Wings

These Air Fryer Chicken Wings are incredibly crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor—without deep frying. Ready in under 20 minutes, they’re perfect for game day, weeknight dinners, or anytime you’re craving classic wings. Once you try them in the air fryer, you may never cook wings another way again.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs chicken wings (drums and flats), defrosted if frozen

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the wings:
If using whole wings, separate them into drums and flats. Make sure wings are fully defrosted. Pat them completely dry with paper towels—this is key for crispiness.

  2. Place wings in a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Toss to coat evenly.

  3. Add garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss until all wings are well coated.

  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (205°C) for 2 minutes.

  5. Arrange wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Wings should not be touching.

  6. Air fry for 10 minutes.

  7. Carefully flip the wings and cook for an additional 8 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

  8. Remove wings and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Dry wings thoroughly before seasoning—moisture prevents crisping.

  • Avoid overcrowding; cook in batches if needed.

  • For extra crispy skin, add 1–2 more minutes of cooking time.

  • Toss with buffalo sauce, BBQ sauce, or serve plain with ranch or blue cheese.
