These Air Fryer French Fries are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and made with just a few basic ingredients. They’re a healthier and cleaner alternative to deep-fried fries, with all the crunch you love and none of the messy oil. Perfect as a snack, side dish, or game-day treat!
1 lb russet potatoes (2 large or 3 medium)
1 tablespoon olive oil
½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
⅛ teaspoon paprika
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Scrub and clean the potatoes. Cut them into even ¼-inch thick strips.
Rinse the cut potatoes in cold water, then pat completely dry with a clean towel.
Place the fries in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat evenly.
Sprinkle salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika over the fries. Toss again.
Transfer fries to the air fryer basket in a single layer.
Cook at 380°F (193°C) for 10 minutes.
Shake or toss the fries, then cook for another 6–10 minutes, until golden and crispy.
Garnish with parsley if desired and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
Dry the potatoes well: This helps the fries get extra crispy.
Don’t overcrowd the basket: Cook in batches if needed for even cooking.
Soak ahead: You can cut the fries and store them submerged in cold water in the fridge. Dry well before cooking.
Reheating: Reheat leftovers directly in the air fryer for the best texture.
