These Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Fries are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and packed with bold garlic and cheesy flavor. Made with simple ingredients and finished with fresh parsley, they’re an easy side dish or snack that feels a little indulgent—but cooks up fast and light in the air fryer.
2 large russet potatoes, cut into fries
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
Salt & black pepper are key here—they enhance all the flavors and ensure every bite is perfectly seasoned.
Wash and peel the russet potatoes (or leave the skins on for extra texture). Cut them into evenly sized fries so they cook evenly.
Place the sliced potatoes in a large bowl. Add olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss well until every fry is evenly coated.
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
Arrange the fries in a single layer in the basket, avoiding overcrowding.
Cook for 15–18 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
Transfer the hot fries to a large bowl. Immediately sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley. Toss gently so the cheese lightly melts onto the fries. Serve right away.
Even cuts matter: Uniform fries cook more evenly and crisp better.
Don’t overcrowd: Cook in batches if needed to keep fries crispy.
Use freshly grated Parmesan: It melts better and has more flavor than pre-shredded cheese.
Extra crisp: Soak cut potatoes in cold water for 20–30 minutes, then dry thoroughly before seasoning.
