If you are looking for a simple, hearty, and family-friendly dinner, this Air Fryer Potatoes and Sausage recipe is perfect for you. It’s a quick one-pan meal made with crispy potatoes, juicy kielbasa sausage, and tender onions—all cooked in the air fryer for minimal cleanup and maximum flavor.
1 kg potatoes
400 g kielbasa sausage
1 medium brown onion
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon all-purpose seasoning
½ tablespoon garlic granules
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Preheat your air fryer to 180°C / 360°F.
Prepare the potatoes:
Peel and dice the potatoes into small bite-sized cubes. Place them in a bowl of cold water and rinse a few times until the water runs clear. Pat dry with a kitchen towel.
Season the potatoes:
Transfer the dried potatoes to a large bowl. Add all-purpose seasoning, garlic granules, salt, pepper, and half of the olive oil. Toss well to coat evenly.
First air fry:
Add the seasoned potatoes to the air fryer basket. Cook for 10–12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the potatoes are fork-tender and about 90–95% cooked.
Prepare sausage and onions:
Slice the kielbasa into 1–2 cm thick rounds (or on a bias). Chop the onion into large chunks and separate the layers. Place both in a bowl, add the remaining olive oil, and mix.
Finish cooking:
Add the sausage and onions to the air fryer basket with the potatoes. Gently mix and air fry for another 5–8 minutes, flipping halfway, until everything is golden and slightly crispy.
Serve and enjoy!
Cut evenly: Try to keep potato pieces the same size for even cooking.
Don’t overcrowd: Cook in batches if needed to ensure crisp potatoes.
Customize flavors: Add paprika, chili flakes, or Italian seasoning for extra flavor.
Swap sausage: Smoked sausage, chicken sausage, or turkey sausage also work well.
