  • ¼ cup brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon water

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

1. Prep

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Lightly spray a baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

Season both sides of the chicken with salt and pepper.

2. Make the Sauce

In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, water, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper until combined.

3. Bake

Place chicken breasts in the baking dish.
Pour the sauce evenly over the top.

Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

4. Serve

Remove from the oven and spoon the pan sauce over the chicken before serving.
Delicious over rice, pasta, or roasted vegetables.

Notes

  • Pound chicken to even thickness for faster, even cooking.

  • For extra caramelization, broil the last 2–3 minutes.

  • Add fresh minced garlic for stronger flavor.

  • Toss in veggies (green beans, carrots, or potatoes) to bake alongside the chicken.

  • Store leftovers up to 3 days — great for meal prep.
