Cheeseburger Twists (Cheeseburger Eggrolls): The Ultimate Crispy Comfort Food You’ll Want to Make Again and Again

Cheeseburger Twists are a fun, crispy spin on the classic cheeseburger you know and love. Juicy seasoned beef and melty cheddar cheese are wrapped in golden egg roll wrappers for a bite-sized treat that’s perfect for dinners, parties, or game nights. They’re crunchy on the outside, savory on the inside, and always a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 pound ground beef

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tablespoon ketchup

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 package egg roll wrappers

  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté for 2–3 minutes until soft and fragrant.

  • Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook, breaking it apart, until fully browned and no longer pink (about 5–7 minutes).

  • Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well until evenly combined.

  • Remove from heat and transfer the beef mixture to a bowl. Let it cool slightly, then fold in the shredded cheddar cheese.

  • Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface and lightly moisten the edges with water. Add a spoonful of the beef mixture to the center. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, fold in the sides, and roll tightly. Seal the edge with a little more water.

  • Heat a thin layer of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the egg rolls for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.

  • Remove and drain on a paper towel–lined plate. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

  • Let the beef mixture cool slightly before adding cheese to prevent it from melting too quickly.

  • Don’t overfill the wrappers—this helps them seal properly and fry evenly.

  • For a lighter option, these can be baked or air-fried instead of pan-fried.

  • Serve with dipping sauces like ketchup, burger sauce, or spicy mayo for extra flavor.
