Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced (halal-certified, beef or turkey)

  • 4 cups baby potatoes, halved or quartered

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (halal-certified)

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese blend)

  • ½ cup sour cream (optional, for serving)

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

1. Preheat & Prep

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

2. Prepare Ingredients

  • Wash and cut the baby potatoes into halves or quarters for even cooking.

  • Slice the smoked sausage into ¼-inch rounds.

3. Season the Potatoes

  • In a small bowl, mix ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.

  • Place potatoes in a large bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and toss with half of the seasoning mix until evenly coated.

4. Assemble

  • Spread potatoes in a single layer on the baking sheet.

  • Scatter the sausage slices evenly over the potatoes.

  • Sprinkle remaining seasoning over everything.

5. Roast

  • Bake for 35–40 minutes, stirring halfway, until potatoes are golden and fork-tender.

6. Add Cheese

  • Remove from oven and sprinkle cheddar cheese evenly on top.

  • Return to oven for 5 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.

7. Serve

  • Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

  • Serve hot with sour cream on the side.

Notes

  • Extra crispy potatoes: Make sure potatoes are spread in a single layer—overcrowding causes steaming.

  • Cheese swaps: Try Monterey Jack, mozzarella, or pepper jack for a flavor twist.

  • Add veggies: Bell peppers, onions, or broccoli roast beautifully alongside the potatoes.

  • Spice it up: Add chili flakes or smoked paprika for extra heat and depth.
