Classic Cherry Delight is a timeless no-bake dessert made with simple ingredients and layered to perfection. Crust

  • 7 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

  • 1½ cups graham cracker crumbs (about 9 whole crackers)

  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar

Filling & Topping

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed

  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling

Instructions

Make the Crust

  1. In a medium bowl, melt the butter in the microwave (about 30 seconds).

  2. Add graham cracker crumbs and sugar, mixing until fully combined.

  3. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased 8×8-inch baking dish. Set aside.

Prepare the Filling

  1. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth and lump-free.

  2. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract; mix until creamy.

  3. Gently fold in the whipped topping just until combined—do not overmix.

Assemble

  1. Spread the filling evenly over the crust using a spoon or offset spatula.

  2. Spoon the cherry pie filling over the top and gently spread into an even layer.

Chill

  1. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.

  2. Slice and serve chilled. Refrigerate leftovers.

Notes

  • Use room-temperature cream cheese for a smooth, lump-free filling.

  • Don’t overmix once the whipped topping is added to keep the filling light and fluffy.

  • Chill overnight for cleaner slices and better texture.

  • For easy removal, briefly place the pan in very hot water (just covering the bottom) to release the crust before slicing.
