Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb salmon fillets, skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Honey Garlic Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ teaspoon fresh ginger, grated (optional)

  • 2 tablespoons water

Garnish

  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped

Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Salmon

  • Cut the salmon into 1-inch cubes and pat dry with a paper towel.

  • Toss with cornstarch, olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.

Step 2: Air Fry the Salmon

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).

  • Arrange salmon in a single layer in the air fryer basket.

  • Cook for 8–10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until crispy and cooked through.

Step 3: Make the Honey Garlic Sauce

  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, warm 1 tablespoon olive oil.

  • Add garlic and ginger and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  • Stir in soy sauce, honey, and water.

  • Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.

Step 4: Coat and Serve

  • Transfer the cooked salmon bites to a bowl and toss with the honey garlic sauce.

  • Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

  • Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

  • Dry salmon well: This helps the salmon get crispy in the air fryer.

  • Don’t overcrowd: Cook in batches if needed for even browning.

  • Extra crunch: Add an extra 1–2 minutes of cook time if you like it crispier.

  • Make it spicy: Add chili flakes or a drizzle of sriracha to the sauce.
