Once you try these Easy Air Fryer Ribs, you may never cook ribs another way. In just 25 minutes, the air fryer delivers tender, juicy, fall-off-the-bone ribs with a deliciously seasoned crust and sticky BBQ finish. Perfect for weeknight dinners when you want big flavor with minimal effort.
2 pounds pork back ribs
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons black pepper
½ cup BBQ sauce
Cut the rack of ribs into smaller sections so they fit comfortably in your air fryer basket.
Season all sides of the ribs generously with salt and black pepper.
Place the ribs meaty side down in the air fryer basket. Set the air fryer to 400°F (205°C) and cook for 20 minutes.
At the 10-minute mark, flip the ribs using tongs. Continue cooking for the remaining 10 minutes.
Check doneness with a meat thermometer. The internal temperature should reach at least 190°F (88°C) for tender ribs.
Brush the ribs with BBQ sauce and cook for 5 more minutes, meaty side up, at the same temperature.
Remove the ribs from the air fryer and let them rest for 5 minutes. Brush with additional BBQ sauce if desired, then serve.
Don’t overcrowd the basket—cook in batches if needed for even cooking.
Resting is key to allow juices to redistribute and keep the ribs moist.
Use your favorite BBQ sauce, sweet or smoky, to customize the flavor.
For extra caramelization, add 1–2 more minutes at the end, watching closely to avoid burning.
