Easy Air Fryer Sausage and Potatoes (A Complete One-Basket Meal)

This Easy Air Fryer Sausage and Potatoes recipe is a simple, comforting meal that comes together quickly with minimal prep. Crispy potatoes, savory kielbasa, and tender onions cook perfectly in the air fryer, making this a great option for a busy weeknight lunch or dinner. Everything cooks in one basket, which means less cleanup and more flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound baby Yukon Gold potatoes, halved or quartered

  • 1 package fully cooked kielbasa sausage, sliced

  • ½ red onion, cut into chunks

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic

  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

Optional for serving: fresh lemon juice, chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).

  • In a large bowl, combine the potatoes and red onion. Drizzle with olive oil, then add minced garlic and dried thyme. Toss well to coat evenly.

  • Place the potato and onion mixture into the air fryer basket. Cook at 350°F for 18–20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.

  • Add the sliced sausage to the basket and cook for an additional 5–8 minutes, until the sausage is heated through and lightly crispy on the edges.

  • Transfer to a serving plate. If desired, drizzle with fresh lemon juice and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Cut all ingredients to similar sizes to ensure even cooking.

  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket—cook in batches if needed.

  • Shaking the basket halfway through is key for crispy potatoes.

  • Swap kielbasa for smoked sausage or chicken sausage if you prefer.
