Ingredients

Scale

Pasta

  • 12 oz pasta (fettuccine or penne recommended)

Meat & Bacon

  • 1 lb lean ground beef

  • 6 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked and chopped

Alfredo Sauce

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Seasonings

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon onion powder or Italian seasoning

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain and set pasta aside.

  • Cook the Ground Beef
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked, breaking it into small pieces (about 7–10 minutes). Season lightly with salt and pepper. Drain excess grease if needed and set aside.

  • Cook the Bacon
In a separate skillet, cook bacon over medium-high heat until crispy. Transfer to paper towels, then chop into bite-sized pieces. Reserve a small amount of bacon drippings in the pan for extra flavor.

  • Make the Alfredo Sauce
Reduce heat to medium. In the skillet with bacon drippings (or beef pan), add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and stir well. Simmer gently for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.

  • Add the Cheese
Lower heat and stir in cheddar and Parmesan cheeses until melted and smooth. Season with salt, pepper, and optional seasonings. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time.

  • Combine Everything
Add cooked pasta, ground beef, and bacon to the sauce. Toss until everything is evenly coated and heated through.

  • Serve
Serve hot, optionally topped with extra cheese or bacon bits.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated cheese for the smoothest, creamiest sauce.

  • Lean ground beef keeps the dish rich without being greasy.

  • Add a splash of pasta water to keep the sauce silky and restaurant-quality.

  • For a spicy kick, sprinkle in crushed red pepper flakes or smoked paprika.
