  • 1 package (12 oz) pork or chicken dumplings (frozen or fresh)

  • 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth

  • 1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 cups fresh spinach or bok choy

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

  • Oil for sautéing

Instructions

  1. Sauté aromatics
    Heat a small amount of oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger and cook 1 minute until fragrant.

  2. Build the broth
    Pour in chicken broth, then bring to a gentle boil.

  3. Cook dumplings
    Add dumplings to the simmering broth and cook according to package directions

  4. Add greens & seasonings
    Stir in spinach or bok choy and soy sauce. Cook 2–3 minutes, or until the greens wilt.

  5. Finish & serve
    Remove from heat and drizzle sesame oil over the top.
