These Air Fryer Churro Bites are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and coated in cinnamon sugar — the perfect bite-sized treat! They’re quick to make, healthier than deep-fried versions, and perfect for snack time or dessert. Serve them with chocolate, honey, or Nutella for extra indulgence.
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup + 1 tbsp unsalted butter
1 cup water
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
1 cup white sugar
Make the Dough
In a pan, combine water, butter, salt, and sugar. Bring to a boil over high heat.
Reduce heat and gradually stir in the flour until a smooth dough forms. Remove from heat.
Add Egg & Vanilla
Transfer dough to a large bowl and cool for 4–5 minutes.
Add the egg and vanilla, mixing with a hand mixer until smooth.
Prepare the Air Fryer
Preheat to 375°F (190°C).
Spray basket with nonstick spray (coconut or vegetable oil).
Pipe or Spoon the Dough
Fill a piping bag and pipe bite-sized churros into the basket.
Alternatively, drop spoonfuls of dough into the basket. Avoid overcrowding.
Air Fry
Lightly brush with butter.
Cook 10–12 minutes, until golden brown. Work in batches if needed.
Coat in Cinnamon Sugar
Mix sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.
Toss warm churros in the mixture, brushing with melted butter if needed for better adhesion.
Serve
Enjoy warm with chocolate syrup, honey, or Nutella for dipping.
Uniform size: Pipe evenly for consistent cooking.
Crispier texture: Air fry a few extra minutes if needed.
Flavor boost: Use freshly ground cinnamon for stronger flavor.
Make ahead: Dough can be refrigerated for 1 day before cooking.
