1 lb Ore-Ida Extra Crispy Frozen Fast Food Fries
Vegetable oil, for frying
2 tsp salt
2 tbsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp onion powder
¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for spice)
16 slices American cheese
¼ cup milk
1 tbsp liquid from jarred jalapeño slices
In a small bowl, mix together salt, paprika, garlic powder, chili powder, onion powder, and cayenne. Set aside.
Fill a saucepan with at least 3 inches of vegetable oil and heat to 350°F (180°C).
Fry the frozen fries for 6–8 minutes until golden and crispy.
Remove fries with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Tear the cheese slices into smaller pieces.
Combine cheese, milk, and jalapeño liquid in a microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth and melted.
Place fries in a large mixing bowl and toss with the seasoning mixture until evenly coated.
Serve fries hot with cheese sauce on the side for dipping.
Use extra crispy frozen fries for the crunchiest results.
Don’t skip the seasoning—it gives fries that signature Taco Bell flavor.
For an extra kick, drizzle pickled jalapeños on top.
Cheese sauce can be made ahead and reheated slowly to prevent clumping.
Serve immediately for maximum crispiness.
