This Garlic Butter Chicken is tender, juicy, and coated in a rich buttery garlic sauce. It cooks entirely on the stovetop in just 15 minutes, making it a perfect weeknight meal that tastes restaurant-quality. Serve it with rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta to soak up all that delicious sauce!
3 tbsp olive oil
1 ½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts (4 breasts, pounded evenly)
1–2 tsp 21 Salute Seasoning or poultry seasoning
1 tsp kosher salt, or to taste
1 tsp black pepper, or to taste
½ cup white wine or chicken broth
3 tbsp unsalted butter (add more if you want extra sauce)
1 tbsp finely minced garlic
2 tsp fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Sear the chicken:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add chicken and season with 21 Salute, salt, and pepper.
Cook 5 minutes without touching or moving it to get a golden sear.
Flip and cook another 5 minutes, or until cooked through.
Transfer chicken to a plate to rest.
Make the garlic butter sauce:
Add wine or broth to the skillet to deglaze, letting it bubble vigorously.
Add butter and stir until fully melted.
Add garlic and cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Combine & serve:
Turn off the heat.
Return chicken to skillet and coat it in the garlic butter sauce.
Spoon extra sauce over each piece and garnish with parsley.
Serve immediately.
Pound the chicken evenly so it cooks quickly and stays juicy.
Don’t move the chicken while searing—this gives a better golden crust.
Use broth instead of wine if you want an alcohol-free version.
Add extra butter for a richer, silkier sauce.
Pairs great with rice, pasta, mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or a simple salad
