Make the ultimate crispy-on-the-outside, fluffy-on-the-inside gnocchi in just 15 minutes using your air fryer! Perfect as a quick appetizer, snack, or side dish. Works with frozen, refrigerated, or shelf-stable gnocchi — potato, sweet potato, or cauliflower.
1 lb gnocchi (frozen, refrigerated, or shelf-stable; potato, sweet potato, or cauliflower)
1–2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
2–3 tbsp freshly grated Parmesan
Preheat the Air Fryer
Set to 390°F (200°C) and lightly spray the basket with olive oil.
Season the Gnocchi
In a large bowl, toss the gnocchi with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Parmesan.
Note: Do not thaw frozen gnocchi; air fry straight from the freezer.
Air Fry
Place gnocchi in the basket in a single layer (avoid overlapping).
Shelf-Stable & Refrigerated: Air fry 11–14 minutes, shaking every 4–5 minutes.
Frozen: Air fry 14–15 minutes, shaking halfway through.
Check for Crispiness
Gnocchi is done when golden and crispy on the outside, fluffy inside.
Serve Immediately
Sprinkle extra Parmesan or fresh herbs if desired.
Single layer: Overcrowding makes them soggy.
Shake the basket: Ensures even crisping on all sides.
Add flavor: Toss with chili flakes, Italian herbs, or garlic butter after air frying.
Serve hot: Crispy gnocchi loses crunch if it sits too long.
