This Mandarin Orange Jello Salad is a nostalgic, crowd-pleasing dessert that combines creamy vanilla pudding, vibrant orange gelatin, fluffy Cool Whip, and juicy mandarin oranges. 1 (6 oz) package orange gelatin
2 (3 oz) packages vanilla cook-and-serve pudding mix (not instant)
4 cups hot water
8 oz Cool Whip
1 (16 oz) can mandarin oranges, drained
Cook the Base
In a large saucepan, combine the orange gelatin, cook-and-serve pudding mixes, and hot water.
Stir well to dissolve.
Boil Until Clear
Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring often.
Continue boiling about 5 minutes, until it turns a clear, glossy orange.
Chill Until Set
Pour the mixture into a large bowl.
Chill overnight or
Chill for about 4 hours until fully set.
Fold in Cool Whip
Once set, add Cool Whip.
Use a spoon—or a potato masher—for easy blending until smooth and fluffy.
Add Mandarin Oranges
Gently fold in the drained mandarin oranges.
Refrigerate & Serve
Chill until ready to serve.
Serve cold for the best texture and flavor.
Do not use instant pudding. The recipe will not set properly.
