Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground beef

  • 1 (1 oz) package taco seasoning

  • 1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes & green chiles, undrained

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 (8 oz) bottle ranch dressing

  • 5 packages (15-count each) frozen phyllo tart shells

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven
    Set to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Cook the Beef
Brown ground beef in a skillet until no longer pink. Drain any fat.

  3. Add Seasoning
Stir in taco seasoning and diced tomatoes with green chiles. Simmer 5 minutes.

  4. Mix Filling
In a bowl, combine cheddar cheese and ranch dressing. Add cooked taco meat and mix until fully combined.

  5. Assemble Tarts
Spoon mixture into the frozen phyllo tart shells.

  6. Bake

    • Fresh tarts: 8–10 minutes

    • Frozen tarts: 10–13 minutes

  7. Serve Warm
Enjoy immediately or let guests help themselves at your party!

Notes

  • Don’t overfill: Keeps shells crispy and prevents spilling.

  • Use sharp cheddar for richer flavor.

  • Make-ahead: Fill shells and freeze for up to 2 months; bake straight from frozen.

  • Extra flair: Garnish with chopped cilantro, green onions, or a drizzle of hot sauce
